President Hinckley

I was very sad to hear of the news of President Hinckley's passing.
I know he is with his sweet wife and that they are very happy to be together again!

Happy Birthday Dad!

My new Bling Today was my dad's birthday.
We actually had a party everyday for the last 3 days because it was also my Grandpa's birthday, too!
It was a good time.
Happy Birthday, Dad! Love You!

We'll Miss You, Summer

This is a very hard post to write, but I thought I should do a little tribute to this special pet I've had in my life for almost 17 years.
We all talked about it and it was an extreemly difficult decision, but we thought the best thing was to put her to sleep.
Summer was the BEST cat and friend. She would have been 17 this June.
She was'nt doing too well anymore. I could see that she just wasn't the happy, active cat she once was. There were just a lot of problems with having her.
It still really hurts to know that she's gone and that she didn't just pass away on her own, but I think in her own way she was telling us to let her go.
We have so many fun memories of her. She was always the friendliest, sweet kitty.
Mark knew her for 11 years. He loved her so much. Summer would always jump up on his lap and purr like mad.
Elizabeth loved her very much. I'll never forget one time when Summer had a cut on her chin, probably from all the activity she did outside, and Elizabeth just started crying and getting all worried because she thought Summer was hurt. She couldn't understand that it was just a cut and that it would get better and go away and that Summer would be fine. It broke my heart and I started to cry, too.
Elizabeth had so much love for Summer. She often drove her crazy with all her packing around Grandma and Grandpa's house and always wanting to lay down by her and constantly play with her fur. Summer just let it happen. She loved Elizabeth just as much! She was a good sport. Sydney of course didn't get a chance to love Summer as much, but she knew who she was and we got a good picture of both of them.
I'll miss you, Summer. I loved you so much. Thank you for being a good kitty for me.
I don't know where she is, but I hope she's playing with Toby and Laddie.

Sydney is 10 months!

My baby is growing up!
She always pulls herself up to a standing position and so this morning she slipped and bumped her chin on the coffee table.
Just one of many bumps, scrapes and bruises on her little face.
Happy 10 months, Sydney Belle!

Happy New Year 2008

Well, it's a new year and as I look back on 2007, there's only 1 thing that sticks out in my mind as the BEST thing that happened. And her name is Sydney Belle.

Temple Square

Last night we went to Temple Square to look at the Christmas lights! It was SO FUN. We have made it a tradition for about the past 2 years at Christmas to plan a night and go. First we have dinner at The Lion House and then we walk over to Temple Square to enjoy all the beautiful lights. Since Sydney is only 9 months, we figured she would'nt do very well going all over the place, plus it's too cold for her, so Mom baby-sat for us. Thanks, Mom...sorry you weren't able to come.
Anyway, Dad, Mark, Grandpa and Elizabeth and I had a great time.
In line at The Lion House we saw my cousin Miquelle and her husband. So, we talked to them while we were waiting.
Then we walked over to the lights. Elizabeth usually loves this part. She was on such a high! She was excited about everything. I bundled her up with a sweater, her Old Navy coat that's super-warm, her scarf, her mittens and another extra warm hat. She looked so cute!
These pictures don't show the vivid colors of the lights very well. There were so many pretty lights. Candles all over the Reflecting Pool. And of course Elizabeth is beautiful in every picture.
Thanks for the fun time, Dad!

Christmas 2007

Here's the rest of my pictures from Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
My FAVORITE pictures have already been posted below. I couldn't wait to show off my girls!
The rest of the fun is right here. Enjoy...there's a lot!
I need to say how great it was to see my Uncle Dean, Aunt Kathy, and my cousin Lindsay and her husband, Aaron and their new baby girl, Daylynn! She is precious.
I'm so glad they were able to come here from California to spend Christmas.
