Sydney is Walking!
Yep. it's happening!
A few steps here and there, but I think we can officially say that she is walking!
The most she's ever walked was today!
Watch out world, here comes Miss Sydney Belle.

Markie's Fishing Trip
Last Friday Mark went on a really cool fly fishing trip. He got in touch with this guy who gives lessons and takes you out to a lake or wherever and it's like this fun class where you learn tricks and where to look for the fish and how to tie on your flies.
He was gone all day! He came home with a sunburn and a big smile. He caught 25 fish!
He can't wait to do it again!
Way to go Markie!

I Love Fieldtrips
We went on the best fieldtrip yesterday! We all piled onto a bus and went down to Jordan Commons and saw the new movie, Horton Hears A Who!
All the functional skills students from tons of different schools were there. There's a family who has a child with a disability and for 4 years now they have bought out the theater so everyone can see a movie without being stared at or being made fun of or anything like that because I'm sure that this is the only time that these kids will get to go out to a theater, see a movie and just have a normal, fun time.
So, it was great and the kids had a ball!
The movie is excellent! I can't wait to take Elizabeth.
Happy Birthday Matthew!

Happy St. Paddy's Day
Leprechauns had nothing to do with St. Patrick or the celebration of St. Patrick's Day, a Catholic holy day. In 1959, Walt Disney released a film called Darby O'Gill & the Little People, which introduced America to a very different sort of leprechaun than the cantankerous little man of Irish folklore. This cheerful, friendly leprechaun is a purely American invention, but has quickly evolved into an easily recognizable symbol of both St. Patrick's Day and Ireland in general.

A Few of Her Favorite Things
Here's a list of what Sydney LOVES right now.
Elmo...need I say more? Who doesn't love this little guy?
She just recently started loving her bouncy ball. She has fun tossing it around and trying to catch it when I bounce it to her.
Dora The Explorer. She squeals and laughs when she sees her.
Mickey Mouse. I love him, too.
Any kind of paper. Loves to crinkle it in her hands and rip it apart.
She loves her school. She has such cute friends who love her there. The play kitchen is a hit with her, too.
She's not walking yet, so she loves to hold onto anything while she walks around. Then she'll let go and stand there for a few seconds by herself before plopping back on the floor. She's doing good, she's practicing!
Sydney LOVES baby dolls! It's so cute! She will hold a little doll for hours and play with her and hug her.
There's some of Sydney's favorites right now! She's our little ray of sunshine.
