Thanksgiving 2009

I know its a week til Christmas and my next entry will be Christmas pics, but I needed to post the girls in their Thanksgiving costumes. Elizabeth had a Thanksgiving feast at Kindergarten. All the kids wore their Pilgrim hats while they ate turkey, mashed potatoes and pumpkin pie! It was so cute and she had fun! Sydney wore this Indian dress that used to be Elizabeth's. I love her in it! We had a good time at my parent's house with lots of family and friends.

Halloween and Happy Birthday #6 and #33

This time of year has always been so fun and special for me...and now I get to share it with Elizabeth every year!
When I was little, and Fall and Halloween would roll around, I would always get excited because first of all, I LOVE Halloween, and second, it was almost my birthday! I love that I was born at this fun time of year! Then when I was preggers with Elizabeth, how happy was I that she was going to share that with me!
So Elizabeth's birthday was Thursday and she had the best day ever at preschool and kindergarten! Parties all day! Then today is my birthday and we had Elizabeth's party with all her little friends. It was a smash hit! I think Mark and I did pretty dang good at putting it all together. And thanks to Mom for helping as well! Even though she couldn't be there...
Then tonight was my relaxing birthday dinner. So, it was a good day. We had a good time:) The weather was absolutly gorgeous. Couldn't have asked for anything more.
I'm so happy to have my beautiful daughters to celebrate with.
Mark teases me and says I'm old now. Hehe...whatever!
I should also put in some Halloween pictures! It too, was a great day! Elizabeth had her Kindergarten parade and program. Her class had been practicing for about a month or more on these cute Halloween songs that they sang for all the parents. She did sooo well! She did all the actions in the songs and sang every word with such a smile on her face. She is definetly a performer! I'm very proud. She was a beautiful Alice in Wonderland. (I was Cinderella...maybe a picture in the future. I never took one, but the teacher I work with in my class took some so I'll try to get one from her. I thought it was a pretty cute costume! Elizabeth and I were Disney girls!)
Sydney had her big Halloween parade and trick-or-treating all around Bountiful High School. Every year the teachers and students take the preschool kids all around the high school and trick-or-treat in the classrooms so the whole school can see them and their cute costumes. It is always one of the craziest and funnest days of the year. Sydney had a ball. She dressed up in her kitty costume and got lots of candy.
Then on Halloween, Syd was complaining of a tummy ache all day long. Long story short...It got to the point where I told Mark to take her to the ER and find out why she is in so much pain. They took X-rays and saw that her intestines were blocked. So, told us to put her on Miralax and clean her out. It has worked and I think she is out of the woods with it. Hopefully. But Elizabeth was on the same stuff when she was Sydney's age. Lovely, I know. But poor little Syd had to miss Halloween night and going trick-or-treating with Elizabeth and Grandpa. Which is why I'm so glad she got to do it at preschool. Mark was Superdaddy and was taking such good care of her at Primary Children's. The doctors over there are the best!
But we had a fun little Halloween party at our house. Pizza and drinks and Jonathan and Aubrey's peanut butter rice krispie treats! Yum.
Elizabeth had fun and Sydney came home just fine. You can see from the birthday pics that she is doing better. What a wild week!
So, birthdays are now over for a lil while.
