Owwie!

Well, May has started out with a bang!
This past weekend I went and had my hair done. My cousin, Alyson does a great job! Thanks Alyson!
Then we had dinner with my sister and her husband. They came down for a friend's baby shower.
We went and got some flowers to plant in our garden. I love doing this. Going shopping for flowers to plant is one of the highlights of spring. It's so theraputic for me! I always loved going with my dad and picking out the flowers with him and then we'd always plant them together. Elizabeth plants flowers with my grandpa in his garden. She'll have to do that soon!
So, the girls weren't feeling very well on Sunday so I decided to keep them home on Monday. We went to the doctor with my mom and got checked for ear infections and strep throat. Both negative. So, we go home and watch Enchanted for the rest of the day, and just chill at home.
Well, of course Elizabeth wanted to be outside all evening, too. So, she loves to play in the garden area and dig the dirt with her little shovel. I'm in the kitchen cooking dinner and I go outside to check on her. All of a sudden she has sliced her finger while shoveling the dirt. I never saw what happened so I don't know if she cut herself with the shovel or something else. Anyway, we decided it needed stitches...lots of blood and it was pretty deep... so we went over to Insta Care and they said it didn't need stitches, but they put some "glue" on the cut to keep the skin together and so it heals and then put her finger in a splint and wrapped it all up. She has to have it on til next Monday. So, everything is fine. Elizabeth is ok.
I'm so proud of her! She was the bravest little girl I've ever seen. She just sat so still while the doctors cleaned her cut and while they were fixing it up. She didn't complain or wiggle at all. She sat so still and was the best girl ever!
Afterwards, we went to Cold Stone Creamery to get her favorite ice cream, Cotton Candy with Gummi Bears!

Ouch, Elizabeth! Way to be a brave chick. Hope you start to feel better soon!!!! If Sammie were there, she'd give you "Puppy Kisses."

Yesterday my wife took my kids to Pineview Reservoir. She thought she'd put sunscreen on everyone, but she forgot my 2 1/2 year old's back. When she realized her mistake 5 hours later, she almost started crying.

I took a photo of it, but she forbade me of doing a blog post about it. Dangit.

Jack recently came to me with blood all over himself. I couldn't find the source anywhere and I was freaking out!! Come to find out he found it necessary to see how far he could shove his finger up his nose (my child is a genious)!
